The Benefits of Oregano

Oregano (Scientific name: Origanum vulgare) is also known as Wild Marjoram, Mountain Mint, Origanum, Wintersweet and Winter Marjoram.

Hand of Hope: Samuel Alexander Armas

A picture began circulating in November. It should be "The Picture of the Year," or perhaps, "Picture of the Decade." It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the paper, you probably will never see it.

Tracey Connelley, Baby P's Evil Mom, Shows NO Remorse

I have never been affected by any story as much as Baby P's story has affected me. Yesterday evening, I found myself sobbing twice! I just can't get over the sheer horror of the story.

Baby P's Murderers -- Why Are They Being Protected?

In my country, it has never happened before that the media and the people have been forbidden to actually reveal the names and faces of TC and SB, the murderers of Baby P.

That Winter The Wind Blows Finale: Did Oh Soo Die?

Over the holy week break, I spent the entire four days just watching the 15 episodes of this Korean show. Yes, I am a self-confessed Korean drama addict. I already have my favorite actors and actresses; albeit, I don’t know their names.

Ate L

This is Ate L --

Anyway, she went here today. I told her about the blog ruckus. Anyway, it has been weeks since we talked so I called her up and asked her to visit. She asked me to take down the blog post, but I told her that I already did and I also deleted the names of the people concerned. Anyway, we did an impromptu photo shoot for her FS account. I did the shots myself. :)

By the way, this is the other woman :) Yea, I know! I know!

Update:

The other woman reacted. You can read my comments if you're interested. The gall!

She inadvertently, however, admitted that she was indeed passed off as a cousin and was brought to live with the spouses in their apartment. I don't know though if she was referring to the same thing that ate "allegedly" did.

Ate L told me something though that just proved what heartless people these people are. I don't want to go into details because let's just say it was bloody.

I know Ate. I know all her imperfections and mistakes. And the one thing I really know is that she
loved B. She truly, truly loved him with all her heart. I know because I've witnessed all the tears. She has always been loyal to him -- even now, which is unfortunate. She has never been with anyone after she met him. I was there right from the start. Perhaps, she should ask the guy how Ate and him met in the first place. They are really screaming, "Sue us for concubinage!" They are so lucky they are not here. Otherwise.

Anyway, this woman is quite cheeky in her comment. Curiously, however, she automatically deleted this picture from FS. Laughable considering how seemingly unaffected she was in her comment. :)

And because she was looking for Ate L's whole face -- there! I am posting additional ones. The woman seems to think she looks better.

The Gift of Erbe -- Reposting an Old Post

He knows when I am having a bad day or I am just being my grouchy, pain in the ass self. He never complains. He would tease me for being “the dragon”, but he accepts all my facets with the same loving equanimity.

He doesn’t care if I gained weight or that I have continued to gain weight. Or at least he keeps quiet about it.

He doesn’t care if I am at my worst. He embraces me on the days that I feel like everyone is conspiring against me and encourages me when I feel like I can conquer mountains.

His love is all-embracing and
constant.

He tries to open his eyes when I can’t stop talking at 2 o’clock in the morning. He listens to all my secrets and to everybody else’s secrets that I have to tell. He listens to all the things I have to say of all the hundred thousand moments in my life – all the fears and the hopes I keep inside. He listens with all the same
patience reflected in his brown eyes.

He supports me when I am right and even when I am wrong. He has never made me feel inadequate; or that I am or what I have done is not good enough. He has never given me a reason to feel and think that I am a failure.

He is the silent warmth when I fall asleep, the kiss in the middle of the night when I wake up, and the calming sanctuary when things are rough.

He is my strength when I am crippled. He absorbs my tears and fears as his own, and takes my dreams for safe-keeping.

He is eternally patient with me when I am impatient with the world.

He tolerates me when I am horribly intolerable.

He keeps me safe when I things are unsafe. He heals me when I didn’t even know I needed healing.

He is my gift.

The irony of it is that people thinks he’s the lucky one when all the while
I am.

Vote America! Vote!

Ok, I know I'm located across the globe, but I'm really excited about the US Elections. I am really hoping Obama wins. I like the guy the first time he appeared in Oprah -- and that was even before he actually filed for candidacy. He seemed to down-to-earth -- so real.

Anyway, the more I followed his campaign, watch videos and read articles about him, the more I think that he'd really pull it off. What it? Get America out of its stunted economic dump. Unfortunately, the truth is that a better USA means a better world for us all -- well, economically speaking.

Besides, I'd really want to witness something monumental. Obama winning the election will be history in the making. Martin Luther King, Jr. will probably say, "Now that's what I'm talking! Now, we're really talking!"

I think I am probably sharing the same hold-your-breath anticipation. I have my fingers crossed, but at the end of the day, I shrugged my shoulders and say, "Well, anything can happen. McCain can still win." It's like you feel like you know the conclusion -- with Obama leading the polls -- but you can still feel your heart pounding. It is a powerful emotion, considering that I am halfway across the planet.

The thing is that Obama's probable victory represents something truly monumental. It is a historical victory - a victory that was once thought unimaginable. Blacks have faced centuries and centuries of racism. I've never shared any prejudices against any race -- although I think there are some races that needs to wash their armpits and put on a deodorant. Forgive me but my experience in Brunei' buses stuck with some Malays and Indians is not something I can easily forget. Still, I have never shared any racial hatred, so I don't understand racism. I believe, however, that racism roots down to stupidity and ignorance. Period.

So, I want Obama to win. Not only because he represents the change but also because his victory will represent the defeat of racism and the victory of a cause that many have been fighting for -- equality.

Anyway, I'd like to share this video.

Elisabeth Fritzi -- Not the Only Victim!

Have you read this?

This is the latest article from Daily Mail about Elisabeth Fritzi's monster father.

Incest dad Josef Fritzl has admitted he kept his own mother bricked up in a sealed room until she died to extract revenge for the years of abuse he claims he received at her hands.

He made the astonishing revelations in one of a series of meetings he had with a woman psychologist preparing an expert report in advance of his trial set to take place in February.

He told Adelheid Kastner that he had tried very hard to love his mother but as he grew older that love had turned to hatred and he had extracted revenge.

He said: 'She raised me unknown but I never had any love from her. She used to beat me, hit me until I was lying in a pool of blood on the floor.

'It left me feeling totally humiliated and weak.'

Fritzl added: 'My mother was a servant and she used to work hard all her life, I never had a kiss from her, I was never cuddled although I wanted it - I wanted that she would be good to me. But the only thing she ever did with me was to go to the church.'

He then admitted that years later he had taken revenge for the injustices he had suffered when he had locked his mother up.

He said: 'I locked her up in a room at the top of the house. I then bricked in the window so that she never again saw the light of day.'

She died in 1980.

Asked if that had given him the idea for locking up Elisabeth he said: 'To be honest I just didn't think about it, about her being my daughter, I saw her as my wife and as my partner.'

The court in St. Poelten, Austria, which will be handling the case commissioned Dr Kastner, 46, of the Wagner-Jauregg mental asylum in Linz to provide a psychiatric examination of Josef Fritzl.

She told how she patiently tried to win the trust of Fritzl said he would open up to her and how afterwards she had had to listen to classical music to purge herself of the terrible things he told her.

And in a 130 page report compiled during six interview sessions each lasting several hours she attempted to answer the key question of how one man could lock up his own daughter for 24 years together with the children he forced her to have following repeated rapes.

Among the things he told a psychiatrist was: 'I was born to be a rapist' and also 'I simply have an evil streak'.

At the end of the report Kastner recommends that Fritzl is never again allowed to be free. She says he will remain a danger to the public and there is a considerable risk that whatever age he is he will reoffend.

But she said he was not insane and was fully aware that what he was doing was wrong and was answerable for his actions.

He is just simply EVIL.

Loving the Heroes

Do you watch Heroes? Damn! This show is really something else.

If you are tired of predictable story lines, you should definitely watch this show! You never know when the good guys will turn bad or vice versa. Take Suresh, for instance, he was a good guy and now he's killing people and turning them into monsters.

Then, there's Sylar who, for a minute there, was actually playing the good guy role. But the last episode though had him working for the villain, his father. But wait, did he really use his power to save Peter? I mean, Peter can't possibly survived that fall without Sylar's help, right?

Then there's Peter. Two episodes ago, he had the power of Sylar and he was the most powerful Hero. You'd think he'd wreck havoc having Sylar's unquenchable lust for murder or he'd used the power to finally save the world. But alas! his father took all his powers away.

This show is definitely unpredictable. It can be confusing if you are not following the story. Sometimes, I find myself worrying that there would be no good guys left. Thank God Hiro and Parkman are still predicably good.

You should really watch Heroes!

Shoti's Love Story

I don't know if Tinay visits my blog, but anyway, in case she still does --

Bobet went here the other night with his girlfriend, Michelle.

Shoti (Bobet) first courted her when she was 18 years old and he was 22. We were then in first year law. The first time he saw her, she intimidated him. She was just way too pretty. At that time, she was working at Greenwich, a pizza restaurant.

That night, we decided to have our dinner at Greenwich after our last class. Dressed in our ridiculous law outfits, we proceeded to Greenwich and it was Michelle who took our orders. It was hard not to notice her. We thought she looked like Rachel Leigh Cook. Bobet wanted to get her number, but he was afraid he'd get the cold shoulder. So, I asked for her number before we left.

Nothing came out of it, however. He was not her type. She thought she was -- well, boring. Shoti was brokenhearted. He eventually moved on and hooked up with another girl.

That all happened four years ago.

Anyway, a year ago, he suddenly called me up and asked me to go to her apartment and asked for her number because after all these years, he couldn't forget her. He was working in Manila and Michelle was living here in Naga.

I didn't really feel like suddenly appearing on her doorsteps. I felt really stupid because I haven't seen her for years and years! He kept asking and calling, so I figured, what the heck! So, one Sunday, after the mass, Erbe and I went to her apartment.

The minute she opened the door, I said, "Well, you probably don't remember me, but do you remember Bobet? He asked me to come here and ask for your number because after all these years, he says he can't forget you."

I felt really stupid. Really, really, really stupid.

But surprise, surprise! She wanted for him to contact her all along. She gave me her number and the rest is history. They have been together now for a year.

Great story, huh? I hope though it has a happy ending. I love my Shoti but that guy can be overwhelming.

Anyway, he mentioned that he saw Tinay and he said, "Magayunon na baga ito." :)

By the way, I got a pretty interesting comment on this post. You might want to know who finally spoke up in his own defense and under his own name.

There will be no electricity every day from 8 am to 5 pm until Friday. I am so sleepy, but I have to work. I can't even sleep during the day because of the scorching heat. Sucks!

She Doesn't Love You!

How do you tell a friend that you don't think that his girlfriend loves him as much as he hopes she does?

It'll break his heart, so I'm going to keep my mouth shut and hope for the best.

Paypal Completed But Money Not Reflected on My Bank Account

It's already the 29th of October. I still have not received the money in my Union bank account. I'm so pissed off. I'm so effing pissed off! The transaction was completed last October 23!

I've searched through blogs and I realized this is fairly common. The thing is that I have had transactions before with Paypal and it only took three days for the money to reflect on my account. What is taking so long?!

It has occurred to me that perhaps its because I lost my EON card and I have applied for another. I have the card now but it is not yet verified. Will that affect the transfer when I have blocked t
he VISA debit card that I used to verify my account with Paypal? But I transferred the money to my bank account, not the VISA card! Crap!!! I think I have to contact Paypal.

UPDATE:
I am using Union Bank's EON Visa Debit Card, but whenever I withdraw anything from Paypal I do Paypal-to-Bank transfer and not Paypal-to-Card transfer. Apparently, the transaction is faster with the former method. Also, transfer usually goes like this --

If you do the withdrawal on Monday, you can expect that the transaction will be completed on Tuesday. You can also expect the money to reflect on your account by Thursday evening. So, basically, from the date of withdrawal, it takes about four days.

Now, if you withdraw the money on Thursday and it clears on Friday, you can expect to receive it by Tuesday afternoon.

I know many people are wondering, "When can I expect my money to reflect on my bank account after Paypal completed its transaction?"

Well, there you go!

Gotcha!

Hey, I got a comment again -- It deserves a special post. :)

Mica has left a new comment on your post

Anyway, you have a point -- if you were really just a blog reader. Unfortunately, here's my latest feedjit hit.

You see, dear reader, the minute I got your comment, I immediately checked my feedjit hit to see where you're from. Fortunately for me, there were no visitors after you.

Fact: B and M are in Singapore.

The first hit (Quezon, Nueva Ecija) is me. That's my IP address.

But look! Surprise! Surprise! The second is my alleged reader, Mica-
TI, from where -- oh, oh, Singapore! She (or he) found my blog by looking for the B's name in Google. *snort. Yeah, sure. Big coincidence, don't you think? She (or he) is from Singapore who found my blog by looking for the his name! Positively cerebral!

B,
please pay your brain bill. You can wait until hell freezes over before I delete these blog posts. You're just basically screwed! Just a piece of advice, delete the pics. They're all over the effing Internet. You are soooo guilty of concubinage! You ass!

P.S. I think I'll remove these things if you finally become a good father. You didn't even have the decency to post a single picture of your son in your FS account! Oh, yeah, that's right. Too scared to piss off your lovely mistress, right? So, let's just pretend your other son does not exist!

Update: He did remove their pictures in FS. He just removed all his albums. Too bad for him. I already have some copies! Hey! It's the Internet! :)
Sue everyone who grabs other people's pictures!

A Walk Through Memory Lane

I was checking out some videos and I came across this video -- Bryan Adam's Heaven ---

It reminded me of someone and I remember that this person gave me a song. But for the life of me, I couldn't remember the title or melody. I couldn't let it go, so I decided to check out letters and diaries to check for the title of this song.

You see, I'm a hoarder of letters and a keeper of diaries. In today's world where you can contact someone across the globe through chat or email, letters -- handwritten and mailed -- are treasures. I have my own treasures.

letters and diaries -- keepers of memories. I only realized tonight I've lost 5 diaries.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Opening the letters though, I went on a trip on memory lane.

There's Jess' letter to me in Grade Six. He is Cheryl's husband
. They became girlfriends/boyfriends when we were in 6th grade and just before he left for Saudi then, he wrote me a letter asking me to take care of Cheryl, who is now his wife.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And then there's the stupid drawing that a crush made when I was in Second Year High School. I kept the stupid paper.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And then there's those silly High School notes like this one --

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And then there's Sussette's and Tin's letters. Set and I wrote numerous letters to each other back in college even though we were together daily. Tin and I wrote letters during school breaks when she had to go back to Tabaco.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.us

And then there's there's Lon's letters. I think he wrote more letters to me than Tin, his girlfriend. Right, Lon?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.us

In truth, there were so many letters from so many, many people who were and still are a part of my life.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And then, there's THE letter. This one never fails to make me cry. I avoid it like the plague. Together with the letter is the Van Gogh Diary. Painful reminders of a great friendship gone awry because I fell in love. Anyway, after so many years, I opened the letter and read it. It was only then that I remembered the song that prompted the memory lane trip in the first place. You see, it was this letter-giver that also gave me the song.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.us

And then finally, I came across Erbe's 12 letters -- the letters he wrote to me for every month of the first year that we were together.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

You should try reading old letters. The whole experience is often bittersweet, but it's certainly worth it.

By the way, in case you are wondering what song was it that started the whole thing, well, it's this song -- Right Next to Me by Whistle --

There's a part of the song that goes --

If You've Learned To Love Me Baby
You'll Wait 'til I Return

Well, I waited, he did not return.

Responding to B's Stupidity

I just got a comment for this post. After reading the anonymous comment, I decided to give it its own post. Why delete it or leave it hidden when I can have fun with it?! Besides, it was anonymous but we all know who really wrote it, right?

Anyway, here is the comment --

Wow,ang ganda naman ng mga sinusulat mo ASK ko lang sigurado ka bang guilty sya?kasi parang hindi.

-- Well, honey, do you ever wonder what life would be like if you'd had enough oxygen at birth? Do you have the IQ of an amoeba? Well, it's either you're B or you are the growth in his side for you to have the guts to actually say that.

At saka bakit hindi mo pangalanan yung tinatawag mong ate L? nahihiya ka ba na makilala sya?

-- Well, no, I am just protecting her. I don't give a flying leap about his reputation. He made his bed. He should sleep on it.

at saka sigurado ka bang walang pagkukulang ang ate L mo? Kasi sabi nga nila kadalasan naghahanap ng iba ang mga lalaki kapag may mali sa babae.

-- Oh, great excuse! Why don't you grasp your ears firmly and remove your head from your ass. You've just setback women's lib with that brainless comment.

at saka bakit parang puro kasiraan lang nila ang mga sinasabi mo? siguro naman hindi santa ang ate L mo para hindi sya magkamali

-- Really! Well, careful now, don't let your brains go to your head! She's my Ate -- why the hell would I write anything bad about her?! The thought defies rationality. Why don't you put up a blog and do the writing yourself. Sheesh!

Besides, she's not screwing some twat like her husband is. Also, she is not pregnant with anybody else's child. Calling you stupid would be an insult to stupid people.

-- Oh, you must know a lot of lawyers then? Well, sue me. Cite the laws I've violated and I'll tell you I don't give an eff. And oh yeah, keep talking, someday you'll say something intelligent! I know you are either The Ass or The Twat. Ironically, the man who brings his mistress to his and his wife's apartment to live there and passed the mistress as his cousin is in no position to judge what's wrong or right. Asshole.

At para naman sa mga READERS. dapat pag aralan nyo muna ang mga sinusulat nya bago kayo mag comment.

-- Earth, the idiot is referring to your comment.

Kasi hindi naman talaga tama na isulat mo ang private life ng iba lalo na kung CONFIDENTIAL tama ba ko?

- Well, from whose point of view? I wrote this from the point of view of Ate. And she's fine with it. It's not confidential to her. She's not screwing a brainless twit.
There!

Well, what can I say? I've come across decomposed bodies that are less offensive than you are.

By the way, do you want me to post all your pictures? Why don't you remove them online. All the evidences that can be used against you in court are all over the Internet. Any similarity between you and a human with brains is purely coincidental!

Need proof?

Missing You

I've been thinking of a lot of people lately and wondering how they are.
Ironically, I can always just text them, call them or send them a message. Curiously, I don't allow myself to.
Because I've said goodbye to them.
But I miss them.
I miss them a lot.

LOOKING FOR A GIRLFRIEND

This is my guy-bestfriend, Lon. Yes, the one on the right. Never mind the growth on his side. :)
Anyway, Lon is my Dawson.
Right now he is loveless and he is still pining over his ex-girlfriend -- or at least one of them.
I told him I am going to post a blog entry here to look for a girlfriend for him.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with him. I swear!

It's just that he seems to be so unlucky in love.
He is a romantic and a die-hard idealist. Well, I guess that's whats wrong with him.

My bestfriend --
  • is of Chinese descent which is pretty obvious. His last name is Martinez, but I think his real Chinese name is Kaw or Moo or something like that.
  • has a great singing voice
  • can serenade you with his guitar
  • has the kindest heart imaginable
  • is a great friend, brother and son
  • can love completely and irrevocably
  • has me for his bestfriend! :)
Other details to be given if you are interested

Anyway, I asked him what he likes for a girlfriend and he kept saying, "I just want my kids to look beautiful."

Ok, so that basically equates to --

a. A beautiful woman or at least someone with good genes
b. A woman who can bear him children -- at least two

So, if you are --
  • Single
  • With passably looking face or at least you believe you can bear good-looking children
  • With healthy uterus and eggs
  • 28 - 48 years old (or someone who still has her menstrual periods)
Contact him at +63-922-834-1853

You Know You Have a Toddler --

When you are constantly worried about objects being thrown out of the window or if you automatically assume that a missing object has been thrown out the window.

When you find yourself telling your child the Cool Fever Patch has magic powers just so she’d allow you to place it on her forehead

When you find yourself worrying about outlets, cords, open windows, open doors and possibly every thing that can harm your spirited toddler!

When you raise an eyebrow whenever a friend says, “I can’t wait for my baby to walk!”

When you’re DVD player is perpetually set on Barney.

When you curse at restaurants for not having high chairs and you think that the manager is stupid because of that

When you barely flinch after spending P500 to P2000 on toys

When you let your toddler throw herself on the dirty floor in public just because YOU. DON’T. WANT. TO. GIVE. IN.

When you find yourself downloading animated films one after another

When you find yourself digging for boogers that your child can’t seem to get

When the words, “No, papa does not have boobies.” or “No, papa does not have vagina.” comes out of your mouth

When you find yourself dancing and singing while brushing your teeth just to get your child to brush her teeth

When you find yourself telling your toddler that her doll will get a cold if it takes a bath while she insists that she needs to give her a bath because her doll’s vagina smells

Doing 69 -- I Do You, You Do Me!

The title probably got you, huh? Well, I was thinking about my latest experience in this forum that I mentioned before. Anyway, it's actually an online support group for carers like me. I visited the other day and I came upon this really long post that a woman wrote about her boyfriend.

After reading the post and Bev's response, I continued reading the rest of the replies. I was surprised to suddenly find a post from her boyfriend! This time, the boyfriend was the one accusing the woman of being sick. He turned the whole thing around and he was asking for suggestions on how to get the woman to visit her psychiatrist! All the while, I was reading with my mouth gaping wide.

That was the first time I've ever encountered anything like that.

He practically flayed the woman alive. He revealed their names and then he posted about her indiscretions. The poor woman posted a reply apologizing to us. This angered the guy and so, he wrote a letter for her right there! They continued writing to each other right there and then! Bev was furious. I was amusingly mortified.

She did him, he did her -- 69!

You know you're a mom --

if you've ever crawled under the bed at 3 a.m. just to look for a milk bottle or a pacifier like your next breath depends on it.

if you call a pacifier, a “dum-dum” or something equally silly. Right, sis?

if you have memorized all the children songs karaoke style!

when you start to shop for diaper bags the same way you shop for awesome purses.

when baby wipes are more valuable than money at any given time of day in any given location.

when you find yourself mumbling your child’s evening prayer instead of your own before you go to sleep

when your 2.3 year old hands you the clothes she wants you to wear.

when you know the store's scheduled date of discount sale on children clothing

When you find yourself looking for Barney and Dora the Explorer DVDs and you don’t find Barney particularly annoying which is ironic considering how much you wanted to bloody chop Barney's head off before

When you find yourself buying truckload of crackers and Kellogg’s cereals which your child basically ends up throwing or playing with

When your bag basically contains baby wipes, diapers, milk bottles, tissue, milk refills, baby cologne, baby powder, bibs and rattles!

When you judge the quality of a restaurant by whether or not they have a place where you can change your toddler if he or she does #2 and -- oh, yeah -- by how much mess your child can make on the floor.

When you don’t notice the stains or wet patch on your clothes even in public!

When you constantly crave for “me time”

When you start calling your husband “papa or daddy”

When you start blogging about every little thing that your child does -- which obviously is what I am doing.

When you are more concerned of your child’s own clothes than your own

When you find yourself giving up your favorite chocolate cake to your child and you find yourself waiting for the crumbs to fall off because those are what you can eat!

When you are comfortable with baby poop and pee

When the word “mama” makes you feel so damn happy

When you are constantly irritated that your husband does not seem to know half of what you know when you feel like what you know comes naturally!

When you check out other baby’s diapers, clips, dresses, shoes and yes, when you check the condition of other children’s teeth!

When you realized that a little person means the life to you.

Well, so, you can probably add some more?
