The Benefits of Oregano

Oregano (Scientific name: Origanum vulgare) is also known as Wild Marjoram, Mountain Mint, Origanum, Wintersweet and Winter Marjoram.

Hand of Hope: Samuel Alexander Armas

A picture began circulating in November. It should be "The Picture of the Year," or perhaps, "Picture of the Decade." It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the paper, you probably will never see it.

Tracey Connelley, Baby P's Evil Mom, Shows NO Remorse

I have never been affected by any story as much as Baby P's story has affected me. Yesterday evening, I found myself sobbing twice! I just can't get over the sheer horror of the story.

Baby P's Murderers -- Why Are They Being Protected?

In my country, it has never happened before that the media and the people have been forbidden to actually reveal the names and faces of TC and SB, the murderers of Baby P.

That Winter The Wind Blows Finale: Did Oh Soo Die?

Over the holy week break, I spent the entire four days just watching the 15 episodes of this Korean show. Yes, I am a self-confessed Korean drama addict. I already have my favorite actors and actresses; albeit, I don’t know their names.

Greek Final Episode: Legacy

Erbe knocked on the door and I opened it - and then I started bawling in front of him. I turned, threw myself on the bed and continued with my shoulder-rocking-complete-with-snorting type of crying. I was devastated over the end of one of my favorites shows, Greek.

Okay, I felt rather silly, but I really felt like somebody died on me. I was that devastated - still am. What makes me feel rather stupid though is that I am freaking 30 years old and I shouldn't be crying over these types of shows.

Admittedly, though I was merely 27 when I started watching it. I watched the whole thing and I fell in-love with every character, with Scott Michael Foster particularly.

The ending was appropriate. Greek is all about college life and it was just apt that the show would end when Cappie finally graduated - he was after all the life of the show. The finale, however, was a huge cliffhanger. It left me with a lot of questions -

Did Rusty find another house for the KT?
Did Rusty and Ashleigh last?
What happened to Cappie and Casey once they reached Washington? Did they get married?
What happened to Rebecca and Evan? Did they get back together?
What happened to the KTs?
What happened to Dale?

But then again, the show is all about college. Life does not end in College. What was so important then will be just mere memories you smile at 10 years after. You lose friends along the way. You end relationships. The person you thought means life to you will just be a mere memory - or sometimes, if you're lucky, may turn out to be merely a good friend.

I guess that's what saddens me - not knowing whatever happened to the characters I fell in-love with. Life takes you to different routes and it's gritty and it's not fair most of the time. I would have wanted to know that all of them turned out well. I would have wanted to know that their relationships lasted and that each of them have 3 healthy babies and happy marriages. But that's not what I got. I got cliffhangers - and of course, that's college. Because once you step out of those gates, you are in for a big shock. It's either you make it or you don't.

Sometimes, I miss those years though. I miss Tin, Sette and yes, even Guing. I miss them. I miss the organization. I miss the silly fights, the long talks, the sleepovers, the college activities, the exams - and yes, I miss the excitement. I miss not knowing what is ahead but then having the promise that something wonderful and bigger is meant for me. I miss the youth. I miss falling in-love and the despairs of falling in-love.

Oh, well, that's all behind me now. For a while, I relived it through this show, but it's all over now. Just as it should be.

A Heroes Addict

Have you seen the last episode of Heroes?
Damn! Talk about amazing. No Denny crap in this series.

Although, I still don't know how the tides will turn next week, but the ending of this episode is really great. Angela Petrelli is awake. The two groups -- the good and the bad -- have been formed. I am still confused about Sylar's character though. Is he bad or good? But this makes it more exciting.

Have you noticed that the show runs for 42 minutes but by the time you are finished with the episode, you feel like it ran for 2 hours? A lot of things happen in one episode and I mean a lot of things!

If you haven't seen Heroes yet, you should definitely check it out. You are missing on a really, really great show.

Grey's Anatomy -- Bringing Denny Back is Stupid!

Have you seen the last episode of Grey's Anatomy? They have Denny's ghost back and all I can say about that is -- WTF?

Okay, I loved Denny and I cried when he died, but -- really! It's far from being entertaining. It's freakingly irritating. No wonder Grey's Anatomy's rating is rapidly going South.

If they wanted some crisis for Izzie's and Alex' relationship, they should have made a estranged twin brother for Denny who came to the hospital to meet Izzie. That's a believable conflict. But Denny? Seriously?! They probably are going for the let's-bring-back-Denny route hoping that the once-adored love story will bring the ratings up. Geeze. I would rather have the lesbian relationship! At least that one does not scream desperation, but they removed Erica Han! Stupid!

How I Met Your Mother - All The Britney Parts

I do not watch the show. No, let me correct that. I don't download the torrent and watch the show. But I often wondered how Britney fared on it and why the big deal? She's actually nominated for People's Choice Award for Favorite Scene Stealing Guest Star (for her guest appearance in How I Met Your Mother)!

Her appearance in this episode helped the show get its highest ratings ever.

She's up against Luke Perry's and Robin Williams' performances on Law And Order: SVU. So does Brit have this one in the bag?!

Loving the Heroes

Do you watch Heroes? Damn! This show is really something else.

If you are tired of predictable story lines, you should definitely watch this show! You never know when the good guys will turn bad or vice versa. Take Suresh, for instance, he was a good guy and now he's killing people and turning them into monsters.

Then, there's Sylar who, for a minute there, was actually playing the good guy role. But the last episode though had him working for the villain, his father. But wait, did he really use his power to save Peter? I mean, Peter can't possibly survived that fall without Sylar's help, right?

Then there's Peter. Two episodes ago, he had the power of Sylar and he was the most powerful Hero. You'd think he'd wreck havoc having Sylar's unquenchable lust for murder or he'd used the power to finally save the world. But alas! his father took all his powers away.

This show is definitely unpredictable. It can be confusing if you are not following the story. Sometimes, I find myself worrying that there would be no good guys left. Thank God Hiro and Parkman are still predicably good.

You should really watch Heroes!
