UPDATES
1. Tikya was confined because she has an ovarian cyst. I hope she is not in any grave danger and I hope this does not have any bearing on her childbearing capacities. She still wants a baby!
2. Brendan is coming tomorrow. Kris is getting married by next week. Mommy is crying her eyes out. Figures. I am afraid things are going to get worst and our family will be in a strain for a while. Poor mommy she doesn't know the worst is yet to come. I hope their heart can take more.
3. I am finally finished teaching for a while. I am going to give my last exam and I will stop teaching because Erbe and I are moving to Manila. Getting ready for the bar.
Bloody hell.
4. Ryan has not been able to get hold of me. Rarye, sorry... I hope you are okay. The last time we talked though, you seem really well and that was just this Tuesday!
5. Erbe saw the "past". He tells me he's much better looking. I agree. Of course, I would! Was there any other option? Come to think of it, we've been seeing "him" and the "chubby" (as Kris and Erbe says) one around. Whazupwidat?

I was happily eating my burger when I saw the past walk by... And I absentmindedly nodded and it was only afterwards that I realized who I saw after three years (or two...I forgot).
I must admit it was surreal and weird...and something more. It made me remember. But as much as I tried to remember how I felt before, I couldn't. I was so young then.
Now, I am a mom and a wife.
There are some stories that we really need to put behind us.
No matter how much that person in the story mattered.
No matter how much we gave of ourselves.
No matter how much we loved.
Because what matters is...right now.
We cannot bind ourselves to what was, what will never be and has never been.
It's funny though how much a person inspite of everything...will always have a special place in our heart, a small part...however small...which he will always own.
Well, that's what I promised anyway. A special place. Always.
Baba will understand this I think as he has a person who will always, always be special to him as well.
And I don't begrudge him of this as I know I am his life and his love.NOW.
As he is mine.
I've stopped kissing frogs who never turned out to be my prince. I've found my prince. He was never a frog to begin with. :)

a turning point
sometimes there comes a moment in our life where a single sentence could change the world as you know it.
And you are left waiting.
Waiting...
For the bomb to explode.
For the change.
I will miss her but she is not a little girl now. She is not my baby anymore.
She will be living her own life...with her own family.
As I have always said...Ces't la vie!!!

At least it's not some local soap opera...though I admit I am still a sucker for those soaps. Current Love? Maging Sino Ka Man!
But I am in love with Grey's Anatomy. I hate Meredith though as much as I like her. Why? She's freaking sleeping with everybody! A freakin' hoe. Geeze!
My favorite? George. Why? I always go for the underdog.
Funniest Character? Cristina.
Prettiest Character? Addison
McSteamy or McDreamy? McSteamy.
Hated Episode? Closing episode of the second season. I hate that Denny has to die.
Most Exciting Episode? The bomb episode.

We called ourselves Strikers.
I don’t know where that came from. . .
Probably because Meilen was the leader of the group and she liked to kick ass pretty much back then. We had a chance to change the name after Che got fed up with people changing the spelling from “Strikers” to “Stickers”. Ultimately, however, we decided to stick with the name.
We were all so young back then. Tin and I were friends since we were in Grade 2, Nette and Che while we were in 5th grade. The rest when we were in 6th grade.
Che with her perpetually present comb in her pocket and her directing skills – she wants us to practice our smiles before we get in front of the camera.
Nette with her “don’t-you-mess-with-me” attitude and the swagger to go with it, while she’d come to class in tears after a fight with her father.
Marla with her perpetual search for herself. She was the eternally romantic but altogether naïve about her Rex feelings for her. Duh.
Khristine with her quest for that great Love – the bad boy who’d change because of love for her.
Mia…who was always just trying to find her niche. To fit in.
Meilen? Well, after naming our group and helping us beat the 5th graders in Aragawan Base. She left for the States.
They came home this Christmas and we went to Che’s house and I brought Paige with me. It was funny… We were little girls back then and now we have our own little girls, our own lives, but we are still friends…
Che has her own little girl. Her own family. Her comfortable life. But I know deep inside, she still so want so much for herself.
Mia is a dentist now after a long struggle. And she is planning to get married soon.
Meilen has her little girl too. A beautiful girl who looks like her. And she is happy with her beau.
Tin. Well, tin has got more secrets than all of us combined. Still, she is happy in her job in Manila and with Mark – I guess, she got her wish – the guy who’d change for her and would give the world to her.
Marla is in the U.S. now as well, happily married to Christian. I guess, she finally got that romance and she won’t have to settle with just writing down her name and her crush on a piece of paper. She knows herself and she knows what she counts.
Nette has been living ala soap opera existence for the past couple of years. Has encountered more tragedy than all of us combined and is the most secretive than all of us. I can’t go into details though. Anyways, she is married now as well. Few of our batch mates know that.
We have our own lives now.
But I am so happy that we are still friends – we are still the Strikers.
