The Benefits of Oregano
Oregano (Scientific name: Origanum vulgare) is also known as Wild Marjoram, Mountain Mint, Origanum, Wintersweet and Winter Marjoram.
Hand of Hope: Samuel Alexander Armas
A picture began circulating in November. It should be "The Picture of the Year," or perhaps, "Picture of the Decade." It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the paper, you probably will never see it.
Tracey Connelley, Baby P's Evil Mom, Shows NO Remorse
I have never been affected by any story as much as Baby P's story has affected me. Yesterday evening, I found myself sobbing twice! I just can't get over the sheer horror of the story.
Baby P's Murderers -- Why Are They Being Protected?
In my country, it has never happened before that the media and the people have been forbidden to actually reveal the names and faces of TC and SB, the murderers of Baby P.
That Winter The Wind Blows Finale: Did Oh Soo Die?
Over the holy week break, I spent the entire four days just watching the 15 episodes of this Korean show. Yes, I am a self-confessed Korean drama addict. I already have my favorite actors and actresses; albeit, I don’t know their names.

My Blog. My Narcissism.
"work to undo the knots tying her hands. Panic made"
Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch?
Left hand touches paige's hand. Right hand touches my green pouch.
Before you started this, what were you doing?
Looking for romcom movies to download.
Without looking, guess what time it is
2:00?
Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?
It's actually 1 A.M. Wasted 30 minutes of my time. I'm wasting it again. I should be working!
With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Very noisy aircon. That reminds me we need to get this clean ASAP.

Paige's Latest Drawings
She can do these things at 4. I cannot do this at her age. Imagine, what she can do at 10 or at 18! Proud Mom, much?

A Daughter's Threat
Earlier, I was working while listening to Erbe loudly in the shower. Erbe likes old songs. He likes really, really old song - and he likes them in Tagalog. These are songs that not even my mother knows. He said these are songs he heard sang by contestants in singing contests during town fiestas in Lagonoy while he was growing up.
Anyway, his songs drive me nuts. They are so painful to listen to and he enjoys singing them. Not only does he sing them at the top of his voice (which lead neighbors to shush him up several times) but he also enjoy singing them with his tenor voice - voice trembling.
Anyway, after several minutes of his singing, my head was throbbing. literally. I was beginning to get really irritated and I kept muttering, "makulog na lang payo ko". Paige who was waiting for us to get dressed heard me and stomped her way to the bathroom and started knocking on the door.
"Papa! Papa! Tama na," she shouted. "Makulog na lang payo ni mama sa kanta mo! Tama na!"
But Erbe refused to balk. To irritate her, he sang even louder. This prompted Paige to start knocking on the door again and shout, "Tama na Papa! Makulog na payo ni mama! Tama na!"
Again, Erbe sang even louder.
Finally, Paige said, "Pag dai ka nagpundo, sige ka, sisiripun ko lubot mo!"
I started laughing. Being her age and being really playful, Paige likes to take a peek at people while they are taking their bath. This makes Erbe really, really furious. This is why her threat is really a well-thought of threat. She knows it would irritate him and it would get him to stop.
And it did, but not before he shouted back, "Lubot saimo!"

Answering 365 Thought Provoking Questions
I came across the 365 Thought Provoking Questions to Ask Yourself This Year post recently and I bookmarked it. The questions are indeed thought-provoking. They're questions that I would like to answer myself, but I really do not have the time to answer all of them all at once, so I thought I'd answer 20 questions every now and then.
So, here goes:
When was the last time you tried something new? The other night when I ordered Doppio coffee and I ended up hating it.
Who do you sometimes compare yourself to?
I know the answer to this, but I am not just ready to give the world a glimpse of my insecurities right now. In truth, I compare myself to anyone or everyone who I feel were able to draw the longer sticks.
What's the most sensible thing you've ever heard someone say?
"This, too, shall pass." These are words I lived by when things are going shitty and even shittier.
What gets you excited about life?
Changes.Adventure.Promises.Opportunities.Something New.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
That sometimes, it all boils down to one thing - money. You can get away with anything as long as you have money. Some people will base your worth as a person on how much you have in your bank account.
What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago?
Studying for the bar exams, but I really do not regret my choices. Yes, I've lost some but what I've gained pretty much compensates for whatever I have lost. They're actually worth more than life itself.
Do you ask enough questions or do you settle for what you know?
I ask and I make sure I discover the answer. I really cannot give up a question until I know the answer to it.
Who do you love and what are you doing about it?
My family. I'm giving everything I can give to them - and that basically covers 90% of me. Yes, 90%.
What's a belief that you hold with which many people disagree?
Nothing really. I don't hold any radical beliefs. I believe the same thing that most people believe in.
What can you do today that you were not capable of a year ago?
Do you think crying is a sign of weakness or strength? Neither. It's an expression of joy and sorrow. Silly question really.
What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
I'd probably join a singing contest and I'd belt out an Aegis song!
Do you celebrate the things you do have?
Of course, I do. It is only by reminding yourself of what you have and how blessed you are that you find peace and happiness in your heart. Seriously, why the hell should I not?
What is the difference between living and existing?
This is another stupid question.
If not now, then when?
This is a question that does not apply at all to me because I never miss an opportunity to do something that I can do now.
Have you done anything lately worth remembering?
I am doing the most difficult job in the world - being a mother. And I'm definitely doing something worth remembering on a daily basis. I am trying to rear a child to become a decent human being who fears God and who respects other people.
What does your joy look like today?
4-1/2 year old sassy little girl and a demanding 6-month-old baby. That is the definition of my JOY.
Is it possible to lie without saying a word?
Should I bother with the rest of the questions when I am getting questions like this?
If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow this person to be your friend?
I have a friend who speaks to me like the way I speak to myself - and we are still friends. So, yeah, I would say forever.
Which activities make you lose track of time?
Movies and TV shows definitely. Damn it.
Next 20 questions: When I feel like answering them.

Paige
One of Paige's drawings. I really should get her some oil paints and let her try out her skills at painting.
For the last hour, I've been trying to find tips on how to get Paige to stop drinking milk from a milk bottle. It's not that she can't drink it from a cup. It's a comfort thing for her She loves sucking on the milk bottle because it soothes her. I don't know how to get her to stop especially now that she just gets her bottle when she wants to drink milk. Or she grabs Riley's.
How can I get her to stop?!?!
I'm also trying to find a way to get Riley to stop sucking on the damn pacifier. Sheesh!
Manila Trip
Check out the photos above. Word of Advice: If you are tall and you plan on visiting Bacoor, Cavite and you don't have a car, prepare to crawl inside their tricycles. They are so tiny and built so low, so close to the ground. I just had to take pictures.
Paige wanted to ride here. This was in SM Bacoor. I didn't have a choice but to get on the ride with her. You'd think after all the hellish rides in Jerudong Park that I'd find this boring, but I was scared! My reaction was effing hilarious. Okay, give me some credit. Those rounded things are small and a little movement on my park shakes it. So, while Paige was screaming, "Yipee!" I was crazily signalling the operator to finish the damn ride. I just couldn't wait to get out. You should try it out. Get a kid though. You'd feel weird getting in without a kid in tow.
