Paige has reached that stage where she's ready for potty training. She can't tolerate wet nappies, so she tends to remove her undies or diapers every time she wets them. This tends to irk Erbe who always tries to get her to wear the diaper exclaiming, "Baby! It's not full yet!"
Usually, Paige will retort back, "Wee-wee! Wee-wee!"
Obviously, he can't win with her.
Paige usually just squats with her undies on and pee and then she'd removed her undies. Often, we see her walking around butt naked. Yes, it's a trying time for us. We know though that the nappies has to go.
The squatting and peeing though is fine if she's at home. It's an entirely different story if she is in public -- which brings me to my story.
My mother and Paige decided to go to the mall which I've mentioned before is just across the bridge from our house. My mother was holding Paige's hand while she did some window shopping. At one point, she stopped to look at some wallets, so she didn't notice what Paige was doing.
Apparently, my precocious daughter decided to pee. Yes, right there and then. And like she always does, she peed in her pants and then removed her nappies, undies and pants.
Now, my mother was completely unaware of this because she did not bother to look at what Paige was doing. After inspecting the wallets, she just tugged at Paige's hand and started walking again -- completely, unaware that her granddaughter's butt was hanging out for the world to see.
While walking, she noticed that people were looking at Paige, smiling and laughing. You have to understand that Mama has a very poor eyesight. Paige's shirt was slightly big and since my daughter is about 2 feet tall, she didn't see anything wrong. So, she just continued walking around the mall while ignoring the amused smiles they were receiving from people.
After several minutes of walking, she decided to go back home, so she picked up Paige -- and what do you know! Her granddaughter had no panties on! My mother was flabbergasted! Only then she realized that she had been walking around tugging a panty-less 2-year-old! :)
